Ngozi Stanley-Obi has over 19years cumulative experience in the banking industry. She started her career in Savannah Bank as a youths corps member, before moving to First Bank of Nigeria Ltd as an Officer in 1997 and worked in various sections of the bank including Retail Banking, Operations, Services and Learning & Development.
She attended the Senior Management Program at the Lagos Business School (Pan African University Diploma) in 2011 and got appointed as a New Leader for Tomorrow by the Crans Montana Forum in Brussel ,Belgium in 2012.
She became a certified DDI(Developmental Dimension International) Certified Trainer in 2013 and a certified WIAL Action learning Coach in 2014 and was a Pioneer Member of First Bank of NigeriaLtd, First Academy Internal Faculty.
She is a member ,Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria and Fellow, Chartered Institute of Finance and Control of Nigeria 2014.
Ngozi held many notable positions in First Bank and the last was the Regional Service Manager South East, between 2014 and 2016(where She initiated a Regional cash optimization project which resulted in a drastic reduction in cash & clearing figures) until she retired from the Bank in 2016.
Ngozi attended secondary school at Federal Government College Wukari, Taraba State. She received her B.sc Banking & Finance degree from the University of Port-Harcourt, Rivers State and her Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Ilorin, Kwara State in 1997.
She has attended various specialist and executive development courses locally and overseas. She was a training/coaching consultant, until she was unanimously appointed by the Board as the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of the Bank effective from November 7, 2017.
